When cutting carcass fat is very easily separated from the pulp. Despite the large amount of wool, the stunted skin of the karmala remains soft and clean.

Origin and appearance

Pigs of the Carmel breed were obtained by crossing herbivorous pigs: mangal (Vietnamese vislobrew pig) and Korean. Gradually, breeders began to allocate 2 types of hybrids:

  1. Ordinary karmal. The result of crossing Vietnamese boar breed and Korean pig. Although she took the best from her ancestors, she is inferior in quality and taste of meat to the royal species.
  2. Royal karmal This species was obtained as a result of further crossing of the pigs of the usual karmala with boars of the brazier breed. Thus, the royal karmala 75% of the genes from magnal, and the remaining 25% from the Korean breed. It is such a hybrid that has proven itself to be optimal for mass breeding due to the excellent taste of meat, which belongs to gourmet products.

Externally, pigs of the karmala breed differ little from wild boars. Their body is covered with long and thick hair that warms the animal during the cold season. That is what makes them easy to maintain: they do not require the construction of a pigsty, a rather ordinary pen. In winter, pigs of this breed walk freely, dig snow and grunt.

Karmalah piglets are striped, with red, black or gray hair. Grown-up piglets have a long-legged, taut silhouette. Perhaps this is due to the greater playfulness and mobility than in the young of an ordinary pig. Adult pigs and boars of Karmala are also outwardly more accurate and aesthetic. Their wool becomes ashen, brown or black as they grow older.

  • at the age of one month, the piglets completely switch to an adult diet.

REFERENCE. In a year, a pig of the Karmala breed is capable of bringing 50-60 piglets per hender.

The instrument is characterized by a high degree of viability and a good innate immunity, which allows to obtain maximum performance indicators of farm livestock farms. The diet of piglets before the full transition to adult food includes up to 70% of concentrated feed, up to 20% of soft vegetables and a small amount of additives in the form of fish with soft bones, bone and bean flour.
