In farms of the Volyn, Kiev, Kirovograd, Rivne and Cherkasy regions at the moment, mainly fodder grain and in some places seed material is contaminated with collar pests.
It is reported by the press service of the State Service of Ukraine on food safety and consumer protection.
It is noted that while low air temperatures do not allow pests to multiply. But in a kilogram of bread, 1-3 copies of a collar weevil are charged, 1-4 copies of a mucoeda, 2-5 tracks of a mill moth, 5-10 copies of a flour mite. They infect 8-13%, maximum 28-31% of proven grain.
At the same time, as the inspectors testify, in other areas in the grain of wheat, barley, oats, peas, triticale, corn, stored in well-prepared storerooms, there are no pests.
