Elegant Mexican beauty Zinia belongs to the Aster family. Grow it for several centuries. Most often, tsiniya is used to decorate flower beds, rabatok, curbs, but it is also allowed to grow as a houseplant.

Flower breeders bred a lot of species and varieties of tsiniya, which differ from each other in shape, size and color of the flower. There are flowers of orange, red, pink, bright yellow and other flowers. Cultivar cinnamon, terry, dahlia-like varieties are grown.

Sowing tsiniya on seedlings

As a rule, it is not difficult to grow zinia from seeds. Tsiniya crops in spring, late March or early April. Before this time, sowing seeds should not be sown: the sprouts will outgrow and stretch greatly, and those planted in the soil will continue to take root and ache. Zinnia seeds look rather coarse, so they are sown in boxes or pots to a depth of about 1 cm.

They sprout soon, for about 5-6 days. After the seeds have risen, you need to dive them: transplant the obtained tsini seedlings into the remaining pots. In one pot must grow no more than 3 seedlings. After picking and before planting seedlings on a constant space, they are fed two or three times with fertilizers. Sowing tsiniya seeds allowed in the greenhouse or greenhouse. This may speed up the beginning of their flowering.

Very cool hardening tsiniya seedlings: for a few hours a day, it should be taken out onto the street or on an open balcony.

Important! It should be remembered that seedlings of tsiniia in open ground are allowed to be planted only in fairly heated soil and only after the danger of morning frost has passed.

Most often this happens in May. The distance between the planted plants should be about 30-35 cm.

Grown up plants need to pinch over the third and fourth leaves, to form a beautiful bush of tsinii. Planted tsiniya seedlings need to be watered and fed frequently with complex fertilizers. It is possible to grow tsiniya from seeds sown immediately in open soil.

Zinnia planting and care in the open field

It is allowed to sow tiniya seeds into the ground only after the return frost has ended. Seeds are laid to a depth of approximately 5 cm, in nests of several pieces. Shoots seem about a week. After the seedling grows by 10 cm, it needs to be thinned out so that one plant can stand about 35 cm from the other.

On a note! In order to prevent frosting of young shoots of zinnia, before warm weather sets in, they must be covered with a special covering material.

When sowing tsiniya in a clear soil immediately flowering it comes even later: at the end of July.

If you want to collect tsiniia seeds yourself, then, as a rule, it is easy to do: wait until the seed pods mature and get brownish color, and remove dry seeds from them. However, remember that a plant that you expect to see may grow from the grains you have collected.

Cynia care

Zinia is one of those plants that is characterized by laborious planting and relatively easy care. The only thing you need to provide these flowers is as much heat as possible and infrequent, but abundant watering. Only during watering, it is important to protect the inflorescences from contact with water, otherwise they can rot very quickly. It is also important to avoid frequent transplantations of Zinnia, as a result, its leaves can quickly dry and fall off. The same consequences can lead to too frequent watering.
